Organising activities with 3G mobile phones

Monday September 22, 2008

3G mobile phones offer many exciting new communication options and these can be helpful in quickly organising activities. While some of the benefits of 3G do not immediately seem useful for organisation, they can end up being the best options available.

While it may not seem the most likely option, 3G Internet access offers many opportunities for organisation. The most obvious is to send out an email to contact everyone you intend to. This has the downside of possibly getting sent to a junk folder by a spam filter, but it can work out to be much cheaper than sending multiple text messages and can be more detailed than a message can. Not only that, but you may also be better able to contact people who leave their phones off at work, as they may still check their email.

You can also use 3G Internet access to send out invitations via social networking sites. This can be very helpful when you need to know numbers by a certain point, as many social networking invitation tools include easy ways of letting people respond immediately after seeing the invitation. You can then access the invitation throughout the day using your 3G mobile phone in case details change or to find out who is going.
