The battle to lure mobile phone subscribers among the 3G networks is getting fierce and the weapon of choice is exclusive video content. Vodafone (www.vodafone.com.au) has joined the Australian Rugby Union to launch Wallaby TV. This seven-minute weekly instalment, or mobisode, delivers footage of training sessions, player interviews and coverage of upcoming tours to South Africa and New Zealand, none of which is available on free-to air TV.
